Building Sustainable Performance
THE CHALLENGE
Before founding RTB Hospitality Consulting, Rhonda Blake was charged with demonstrating within 12 months that a newly externally marketed hotel and conference center operation could succeed without initial capital investment.
THE APPROACH
She developed the commercial and operational infrastructure needed to strengthen sales, operations, staff performance, accountability, and the guest experience.
THE RESULT
Under her leadership, the operation grew to approximately $8 million in annual revenue and $700,000–$1 million in profit and earned companywide recognition as Conference Center of the Year.
She also developed the organization's first PACE reporting tool to strengthen sales performance and accountability.
Turning Insight Into Revenue
THE CHALLENGE
RTB was engaged as a subcontractor to assist a hotel that was behind its sales budget.
THE APPROACH
A comprehensive commercial assessment identified lost and recoverable business, competitive positioning, market conditions and new opportunities. Those findings were converted into targeted sales action.
THE RESULT
Within 10 weeks, RTB generated $250,000 in active proposals and secured $180,000 in signed contracts.
